The Jefferson County School System receives many requests for assistance from students who find themselves in need of clothing and household items due to an emergency situation, such as a house fire, natural disaster, or loss of housing. We are delighted to be in a position to help fill those needs. Applicants are screened by the school board, and eligible families receive a voucher to shop for necessities at Encore Thrift Shop.
